"I have been painting for about seven years. I started around 2001 and didn't really start showing my work until about 2003. In that time I think I have made a very cool progression. I have learned a lot about my painting style and my work habit...Which is pretty rough sometimes. Last year I was working on a theme for my paintings...This year I just want to paint without a theme. While the theme was fun it also kind of limited things. This time out I am going to be creating the story of whatever is in my head. Sometimes I feel like that is all connected and I try to find the connections in the paintings. Sometimes the connections are very apperant and obvious. Other times they are hidden in stuff as simple as the colors. This year I am going to be exploring that a lot more and work hard on creating the world that is my own.
